Yesterday was all about creating your outlook; today is about embracing your unique flavor! From a young age, we are taught to be ourselves, but almost everything in life convinces us otherwise. Let me ask you a question…How much time have you spent living up to anothers' expectations? As a matter of fact, take a good look at yourself right now! Are you wearing an outfit that makes you happy? Have you accepted your flaws and capitalized on your positive attributes? Are you doing work that expands on your talents? We waste copious amounts of time in life trying to be what we are not. Often sacrificing our own happiness for the temporary—or absent—applause from the world, we can lose sight of who we really are.
When I say who we really are, I mean the person whom we try so hard to hide. We have all had our day when we come home and take off the shell that has protected the quivering and insecure individual within. The inner “us” that we become when nobody is looking is who the world needs. You would be surprised at how liberating and rewarding life can be just by slipping out of this shell! Our judgment of ourselves usually far surpasses the way other people perceive us. Today is all about shedding the layer of what we THINK everybody wants us to be. If you are spending a single minute trying to be what you are not, you are wasting too much time! Life is about giving YOUR contribution, YOUR best and YOUR all! Therefore, this is your assignment for the rest of your life…
